“(Institutional) Racism and Criticism of Racism in Teacher Education and Schools. GraL and ORAS”
On June 5 at 6:30 p.m., the “Language Education Network at TU Dresden” invites you to attend the event “(Institutional) Racism and /Critical Race Theory in Teacher Education and Schools: Perspectives and Initial Findings from the GRAL and ORAS Projects” at Wiener Straße 48, Room 103. Since last year, the Chair of German as a Foreign Language, represented by Dr. Michael Dobstadt, has been cooperating with the junior research group GraL based at Bielefeld University: „Conditions for successful racism-sensitive teacher Education. A theoretical investigation of racism in university studies, teacher Education, and career entry.“ GraL examines the conditions ”that tend to enable the success of racism-sensitive teacher education.“ Representatives from GraL at TUD will be at the event to present their project and open it up for discussion. We are pleased to announce that we have also been able to secure the participation of a representative from the Berlin project “ORAS – Organisation, Racism, School. Complaints about racism in schools” for this evening.
