Planetary Justice – 2–5 July 2026 – Festival in Bielefeld

Thinking.Feeling.Acting – A Festival for Planetary Justice.

The initiators and main organizers of the DFH Festival are Working Group 10 – Migration Pedagogy and Anti-Racist Critique – of the Faculty of Educational Science at Bielefeld University and Welthaus Bielefeld e.V.

We live in a time of multiple crises — from climate change and wars to displacement and growing inequality — which affect people in different ways. The festival brings people and their diverse experiences and perspectives together in order to discuss these social conditions and to rethink our relationship with one another and with the planet.

As at the DFH Festival 2025, the goal of this year’s festival is also to enable exchange, foster shared learning, and develop new perspectives for a more just future.

Around 90 events over four days at various locations in Bielefeld — and all free of charge! This year as well, you can look forward to a wide range of event formats, from workshops and panel discussions to exhibitions and concerts, as well as interactive participatory activities, lectures, and film and theatre performances.

This year’s festival programme was also developed in a participatory process involving people from a range of social fields (education, art, academia, etc.) working together.
