Vienna Panel Discussion: Research Discussion Paper—Teacher Education as a Place of Fear?

In March 2026, we visited our Advisory Board member Prof. Natascha Khakpour at the University of Teacher Education Vienna (PH Wien) for a networking visit. During our visit, we engaged in an in-depth exploration of key questions related to our project on racism-sensitive teacher education and presented our latest findings. In our presentation and the subsequent discussion, we explored the relationship between emotions - using fear as an example - and the conditions for professional development in teacher education. Following our event, we had the opportunity to continue our conversations with the engaged and interested participants over bread and drinks. We are grateful for this stimulating and warm exchange.
